Journey time
Measured every 15 minutes in the peaks (every 5 minutes on the two A21 exit slips), half-hourly during the day and two-hourly overnight. The shaded bands are the weekday peak windows the monitor samples most closely (06:30–10:00 and 15:00–19:30).

Where the colour spreads sideways, the peak is widening: the junction is busy for longer, not just busier at the top. That spread is the earliest sign of a junction running out of capacity.
